CCP increases CCG event payouts

June 7th, 2007 by keven

CCP has unveiled plans to increase monetary payouts for tournaments involving The Second Genesis, its CCG based on the award-winning MMO, EVE Online. The largest of these increased payouts is the $25,000 prize pool being offered at the World Championship at this year’s Gen Con Indianapolis. This is more than double the amount given away at the launch event at last year’s Gen Con. But the Championship is not the only way to cash in.

With the first expansion, The Exiled, being released in July, CCP is in the midst of scheduling prerelease events at hobby shops across the globe. The company promises to pay out a pool of $100 to the top four players at any event that hosts twelve or more people. There is no limit to the number of stores allowed to participate, and with prerelease kits designed for both new and established locations, anyone can get involved.

For more information on how to get involved, please visit the Second Genesis website.
