Section 1. Introduction
I myself, Century0, am only 45 crafting, but I am bringing this guide to tell you how I got to it. It all began when I was needing crafting to begin doing Lost City, I was only one crafting at this time, that is when, we begin.
Section 2. Crafting Ways
Training crafting, is not your easiest skill, nor is it the hardest. It is in the middle.
Leather
There are many things you may make with leather, such as boots, gloves, and armour.
You will need different levels to make these items. For the gloves you will need 1 crafting, for the boots you will need 6 or 7 and finally for armour you will need 14.
Leather is the quickest way to get to 14-16 crafting.
How to Make
Get Cow Hides
Go to the Tanner in Al Kharid or Crafting Guild
Pay 1gp Per Hide
Use Needle on Leather
Choose what to make
Holy Symbols
16 Crafting Required
If you chose to continue making Leather Armour ignore this part, but if you decided to make Holy Symbols you have two options. You can buy your silver, or mine it. Currently, I’d say to mine it unless your pretty rich ( 200k+ ). Silver Certs sell for 1k to 3.5k each. Continue making Holy Symbols until your 40 crafting. You should have gotten a lot of gems on your way of mining Silver if you did.
How to Make
Get Silver
Smelt the Silver
Use Silver on Furnace
Make Holy Symbol
Gems
Do this after making all those holy symbols.
Ignore this part if you did Leather Armour to 40.
You can now make them useful. Get a chisel and cut all of the gems that you can ( Sapphire, Emerald, Ruby ). Now, you can sell these, or make them useful. If you chose to sell, ignore the rest of this section. If you chose not to sell, get gold bars. You should get them all at the price in certs of 1.5k to 4k each, or buy them seperate for 300gp each. Now, go buy a Amulet and Necklace mould and head to a furnace with your gems and moulds.
Sapphire and Emerald amulets are things you can make, so use your gold bar on the furnace and make Sapphire and Emerald amulets. It will be something similar to this:
Amulet
Necklace
Ring
Of course, your going to click on Amulet. It will now display something like this:
Would you like to add a gem to it?
Click Yes.
Now, a screen will appear with a list of gems to choose from, similar to this:
Sapphire
Emerald
Ruby
Diamond
(and if your P2P)
Dragonstone
Click on Sapphire. It will now make your amulet. You can sell these to the General store for 252GP(Correct if wrong), or you could keep them and later sheer some sheep and use the wool on a spinning wheel, making balls of wool and use those on the amulets to string them and enchant them.
Now you will make the Emerald Amulets, do the same as described above for sapphire, but instead hit Emerald.
Now, that you have used your Sapphires and Emeralds, you are going to use your Rubys. This is up to you if you use them, as you could save them for later to make into Amulets or you could make them into Necklaces if you want quick crafting.
You could keep the Rubies to use later when you get 50 crafting and make Amulets from them
Your screen will be like this:
Amulet
Necklace
Ring
Of course, your going to hit Necklace.
After this, you will be asked if you wish to add a gem, hit yes.
A menu like this will appear:
Sapphire
Emerald
Ruby
Diamond
(and if you are a P2P)
Dragonstone.
Click on Ruby and it will make the necklace.
Now, check your crafting, what level is it? If its 43 you can now cut diamonds! You are on your way to making Diamond and DragonStone Amulets.
Now, there is one other way to level…it is pretty much a easy one…
Flax (P2P Only)
15 Crafting Required
I bet you thought this stuff was useless, but it isn’t? It is really a great thing for leveling crafting. It is hard to get in ways though. There are two major places you can get Flax, theres other places, but you have to walk far to a bank.
To get experience from flax, you must pick it up and then go spin it on a spinning wheel, Falador beside the shield shop is the easiest place. It is NOT Stackable.
Catherby/Seers Village
This is by far the most annoying one to me, but its ok. If you have done Merlins Crystal, you know where this is, if you are not, walk toward Camelot from Catherby. If you are in Seers Village walk toward Catherby. You will see a enclosed area with a fence. It will have no gate. Walk inside and you will be in a flax wonderland. Please note, that you only get a small ammount of fatigue, so your sleeping bag can be left in your bank. Now, Flax bushes can be picked as many times as wanted as they never have to respawn. Choose which bank you are going to use, Catherby or Seers Village. Catherby’s is closer to me. Now, Pick a root near the bank you chose and start picking. I have always had a trick for this, and that is to say that I have a 1 button mouse and then just click it quickly. This way works best for people so that you won’t have to right click and then click.
Note: If you do this way, Your Right Mouse commands won’t work in the game.
Gnome Stronghold
You are going to the Gnome Stronghold ay? This one is easier. You should head into the stronghold and walk Northwest toward a tree. It will be beside a flax plant, up the ladder will be a banker. Pick flax from this and go up and bank. You should get atleast 2,000 flax per hour, maybe 4000 if your a fast clicker.
Note: The 1 button mouse trick also works here.
Glass Making(P2P)z
33 Crafting Required?
Glass making is probably one of the most profitable skills you can do money-wise in Crafting. You will need Soda Ash, sand, and Molten Glass.
How to get Seaweed
To get seaweed, you need to go to a area with a big net where you can big net fish. The best place for this is Catherby. The lower your fishing level, the easier it is to catch it. You will catch a lot of it until your 20 fishing. You could buy seaweed. I wouldn’t pay more then 25-50gp each for it though.
How to get Sand
To get sand, the best place for this is Zanaris or Entrana. You can only access Zanaris if you have did the “Lost City” quest. To get sand, you will need a bucket. You can find buckets all around runescape. You can get free ones from the dock in catherby, the last one beside the “fence”.
Molten Glass, How to make
To make molten glass, just use Soda Ash or Sand on a furnace.
How to Make Glass Items
Use Molten Glass on Glass Blowing Pipe(Verify?)
Choose Item to Make
Crafting Guild
You may enter the Crafting Guild at Level 40 Crafting. It contains:
Spinning Wheel
Mould Respawns(All but Ring Mould)
Chisel Respawn
Sink
5 Gold Rocks
4 Clay Rocks
5 Silver Rocks
Section 3. Tips
Tip #1. While training crafting, you can get bored and annoyed, there are ways to prevent this. Take breaks every hour or two to get your mind off it. Watch some TV, Listen to music. Work on another skill. Talk to friends.
Tip #2. Never give up, I can not express this enough. If you don’t set goals for yourself, Crafting will be the hardest skill for you. Set goals such as, If I do not make 5 levels in one hour, I will give my friend my Party Hat (lol). Don’t make hard goals, Just say to yourself you’ll get 5-10 Levels in the next so and so time.
Tip #3. The 1 Button Mouse Trick, I know most of you will probably think this is stupid, but if you decided to pick Flax, this is a great method. Go to your options and put where it says “Mouse Buttons” to One. This will make it so you can only click with your left mouse button. You will never need to use your right hand.

These will be added soon to finally complete my greatest achievement: This guide. I will also be sending it to friends to let them revise it. I may revise it myself, but I feel I cannot truly revise my guides to full potential.
