Among the pumpkins, there is one who is revered as the master of all olantewns, a lord over all their kind. He lives in the depths of the Evil Forest, carefully hiding away from the prying eyes of those who might make him into a pie. And lo, these many years he has waited, hungering, desiring a feast to sate the pitiless pangs of emptiness gnawing on him day and night.

In spite of his hunger, he grew. And grew. And continued to grow. Until the day Beast walked out across the World of the 12 dragging his curse behind him like an endless cloak cut from fabric of midnight, covering the land. It was then, as the power of Evil flooded through his roots, that the King knew he would finally taste the finer things in life. Sunlight. New soil. Fresh blood.

Especially the fresh blood.

After sending out his pumpkin followers and children into the world to make the way ready for him, the Pumpkin King prepared to break out of the dark maze. But some alert adventurers noticed the disturbance and plunged into the forest to stop the king. And they did try. CaptainJackSparrow and NairwickSH were among the first to join the battle. IronCaf and Miju provided additional support while Cleft kept the fighters alive.

There were wins and losses on both sides, but the side of good was resolute, and it looked like the adventurers might be smashing pumpkins. Until the King, driven by his hunger, took a bite out of one of the fighters. And with that first taste - that initial, tentative nibble, the tide of battle turned. The feast was on.

Re-energized by his appetizer, the manic melon charged the boundaries of the forest, and smashed his way to freedom with the fighters right on his tail. The first strange thing that the King encountered was an odd stone arc that crackled with power. Somehow, when he touched it, he found himself in the middle of a field full of food! Running, moving food, wearing odd hats and capes, some of them even carrying their own long knives! The King felt a little faint with hunger at the sight of such a meal. Some of the food named Limewire challenged the king to a fight! Happily, the King rang the dinner bell and charged in!

The meal that followed was epic. Yakul and Dekatron, Curiosaa and Ellabella, Pika- and Seagate, all of these and more tumbled into the King’s waiting stomach. Fortunately, their fall was cushioned by Unloved and IllClawYoreEyesOut. All was not lost, however. In all this grand field of food, some were more agile than the hor d’overs . KingSadida, Tarquin-Mitzi, Ellyos, and Grandpower managed to pummel the king away from the table by sheer force!

Feeling over-stuffed and sluggish, the King gathered the last of his waning forces and assigned some of his lieutenants to follow the rest of the prospective food around and try to get the King some take-out for later.
