Towns and Landscapes

Locations found in Guild Wars can ultimately be broken down into two types: towns and everything else. Uncertain where you are? Click the right mouse button and look around with your character. Hold down the Ctrl key while you do it. Do you see other players’ names in blue? If so, you are likely in one of the locations collectively called towns which can range from a smaller outpost to a thriving mission hub. Alternatively, do you see red dots on your mini-map and red names onscreen like “Grawl Ulodyte” when you hold down Ctrl? If so, then you are outside of a town in the great, wide, everything else.
