Leather has been used through out history to cloth and protect the people of Vana’diel. Many jobs use leather armor instead of iron because of the flexability of the material. As a tanner you will be able to synthesize many items with the help of the blacksmith, goldsmith, and weaver skills. As many of the other guilds, tanning is not a inexpensive job but in time you will be able to atleast break even and help the war effort.
