Firemaking - Pyre Logs

September 11th, 2006 by Eva

Sacred oil is made during the Shades of Mort’ton quest. To obtain this oil you will need to rebuild and restore the temple in the Shades of Mort’ton quest. When the temple is built, light the fire in the center of the temple and use the olive oil on the flame. You will now make some sacred oil. The olive oil can be obtained from the shop owner, Razmire Keelgan.

To make pyre logs, you will need any type of log and some sacred oil. To obtain different types of logs see the Woodcutting Guide.

After acquiring the sacred oil, use the vial on any logs and you will turn them into pyre logs. You will then be able to light the pyre logs on the funeral pyres to the eastside of Mort’ton, providing of course you have Shade remains, which are the remains from dead shades. This is the only place that pyre logs can be ignited, though you can prepare them throughout RuneScape.

Burning pyre logs will help you obtain the key to a chest that contains fine cloth, used to create Splitbark armour for mages.
