Each system has a security rating ranging from 0.0 to 1.0, 0.0 being lawless space and 1.0 being NPC Police Force protected space. In systems rated 0.1 to 0.4 (called low security space or lowsec), gate sentry guns and station sentry guns are your only means of NPC-controlled defense, and these sentry guns can easily be tanked by the medium and larger sized ships.”
