Guide to Smithing - xp vs money

I will explain the best way to raise your smithing and then I will explain why it is the best to raise it.

First of all — If you want FAST Smithing XP, then DO NOT STOP SMITHING STEEL.

Lets first compare STEEL with MITH

STEEL VS. MITH

We will say that you have just mined 1000 coal

To make steel bars you will need 500 iron ores

and to make the mith only 250 mith ores.

Ok, so we will compare the xp given by 500 iron bars and 1000 coal to the xp given by 250 mith bars and 1000 coal.

Later, we will see whicih gets you the most money—and by the way, we will say that the smither can smith full mith and full steel.

STEEL XP AND CALCULATIONS

with 500 iron ores, you could make 500 iron bars. and at 17.5 xp per bar, you will make approximatly 8,750 smithing xp

and now with the 500 bars, lets say we will make them all into chests.

Steel chests give 187.5 smithing xp.

500 steel bars=100 steel chests=187.5 x 100 is 18,750 smithing xp!!!

so now lets recalculate our total smithing xp for making steel chests with the 500 iron bars and 1,000 coal.

18,750 + 8,750 (from smelting the bars) That is a total of 27,500 Smithing Xp!!!

——————————-

Ok now lets compare that amount of xp to making mith with the 1000 coal.

MITH XP AND CALCULATIONS

with 250 mith bars (the amount of bars that can be made with 1,000 coal), and at 30 xp per bar, you will make approximatly 7,500 smithing xp (compared to the smithing xp made from smelting the 500 iron ores and 1000 coal. - which made 8,750 xp)

and now with the 250 bars, lets say we will make them all into chests.

Mith chests give 250 smithing xp.

250 mith bars=50 mith chests=250 x 50 is only 12,500 smithing xp (once again, compared to the 18,750 smithing xp that could be made making the steel chests

so now lets recalculate our total smithing xp for making mith chests with the 250 mith ores and 1,000 coal.

12,500 + 7,500 (from smelting the bars) That is a total of only 20,000 Smithing Xp

So now as I am tryng to get to - with 1000 coal, Steel would DEFINITALY be the choice if you were deciding what to make to get the most smithing xp out of the 1000 coal.

RECAP

Making Steel Chests - Total smithing xp from smelting to smithing iron - 27,500
Making Mith Chests - Total smithing xp from smelting to smithing mith - 20,000

So yes, 27,500 is more than 20,000 so DO STEEL NOT MITH.

No lets check the prices and the amount of MONEY that could be made from the smithing of either mith or steel.

Compare the price of 50 mith chests to 100 iron chests

50 x an average of about 4,000 coins per chest = 200,000!!! = 200k!!!!!

Now if we made 100 iron chests

100 x an average of 1,200 (sell at armory store in Verrock) = only 120,000

—————-Hmmmm, well now this proves it—————

Now LAST OF ALL

—-IF YOU ARE SMITHING FOR XP — DO STEEL!!!!!!!!!!!!

—-IF YOU ARE SMITHING FOR MONEY — DO MITH OR ANY OTHER BETTER ARMOR YOU CAN MAKe!!!!!!!

Thats the end to my Smithing Guide, and I hope you learned that you make more xp with coal using steel than mith or any higher ore, BUT you make more MONEY smithing the better armor than the lower armor.

So If you want, you can rate my Smithing Guide — 1 to 10

1 being the worst and 10 being the best.

So, if you got to read it all, than thanks for reading and I hope it helped alot of people out. Ok, I am outta here, see ya
