Where in the real life world do you live? I live in the United States.

How long have you played Star Wars Galaxies? I have been playing since beta 3.

What other MMOs have you played? I have played Earth & Beyond, PlanetSide, EVE Online, and Final Fantasy XI Online. Star Wars Galaxies is the only MMO I have played continuously.

What type of work do you do? Technical.

How long is your typical gaming session when playing Star Wars Galaxies? A typical session lasts about 3-4 hours.

What does a typical Star Wars Galaxies day consist of for you? Restocking my vendor, checking e-mails, setting up or checking on harvesters. I’m a mayor of a city, and spend time week to week space mining, maintaining GCW rank, and helping friends with their adventures.

What was the race and profession of your very first character? Ceige is always played as a blue-skinned Mon Calamari. She started out as a scout in beta.

What got you into gaming and what sort of games do you like the most? I’ve always enjoyed computers games. Even though I started out playing action games, I enjoy strategy games the most. Since playing SWG I mainly play MMOs on the PC. I still play action games on consoles.

What other hobbies or activities do you take part in, other than playing Star Wars Galaxies? I’m a researcher at heart. I enjoy reading professional journals in medicine and environmental conservation.

What is your highest character level in Star Wars Galaxies? Level 90.

What race and profession is your main character? My main character is a Mon Calamari Domestic Goods Trader and Politician. She’s the mayor of a city.

What do you like the most about the profession you have chosen for your main character? Tailor is the most creative Trader expertise to play in my opinion. It’s a lot of fun coming up with outfit ideas for people. Domestic Goods Trader is a very social profession.

What faction is your main character? Rebel. I embrace the idea that Mon Calamari are “the soul of the Rebel Alliance”.

What is your favorite player owned ship? The YT-1300. Mine is named Cyclotella.

What is your favorite ground vehicle? The AB-1. I love tooling around the city and inviting friends to take a ride.

How did you choose your main character’s name? Ceige is a real life nickname given to me by a friend.

Which current professions in Star Wars Galaxies have you NOT played? I’ve played every SWG profession.

What is your favorite expansion? Rage of the Wookiees. It’s beautiful!

What is your favorite planet? Kashyyyk is a beautiful place to visit. The area where you can see the birds fly through the canopy is breath-taking.

What is your favorite NPC? Borvo the Hutt makes me laugh.

Which expansion do you like the least? Trials of Obi-Wan. It’s too dark and monotonous for my tastes. Although, the end drama sequence was fun.

Which planet do you like the least? Rori.

Which NPC do you like the least? Emperor Palpatine. Although, his hologram is entertaining.

What is the most credits you have ever spent on purchasing a single item for one of your characters? I spent 40 million credits for a Village crystal for my NGE toon.

Do you have an item you no longer use but keep around for nostalgic reasons? If so what is it and why do you keep it? I keep a color crystal that was a special gift from a friend. I actually have a lot of items I keep for nostalgic reasons.

What do you like best about Star Wars Galaxies? The people!

What do you get out of playing Star Wars Galaxies? I like having something constructive to do while playing with other people. We need more things in the world that build things up instead of tearing things down.

Describe your best experience playing Star Wars Galaxies. My absolute most memorable experience in SWG happened early in the game in the Tyrena cantina. I was entertaining there and had gotten up irl to get something. When I returned, someone was standing there clapping to the performance. Ceige was dancing at the time. We started chatting, and it turned out that the player was a professional dancer in real life. His daughter was at the PC giggling about the fish dancing on the screen. I of course played up to the occasion. It was a lot of fun!

Do you run or work for a Star Wars Galaxies Fan Site? I’ve been invited to be a contributor for SWGTailor.net. I’ll likely accept at some point. My guild runs a website that is used for the guild and city, at The Protectorate. I moderate there.
