Where in the real life world do you live? I live in Hannover - Germany.
How long have you played Star Wars Galaxies? I have played for over 760 Days.
What other MMOs have you played? SWG is my first MMO.
What type of work do you do? I am a Dressmaker.
How long is your typical gaming session when playing Star Wars Galaxies? It varies– sometimes 5 hours and sometimes more than 30 hours if it’s on a weekend.
What does a typical Star Wars Galaxies day consist of for you? It consists of crafting, crafting, more crafting; answering tells from other players until my keyboard starts smoking, activities with my Guild and a lot of Role-play fun or sometimes PvP/PvE.
What was the race and profession of your very first character? Farla was my very first character; she is human and was tailor/teras kasi for the first 6 months.
What got you into gaming and what sort of games do you like the most? My husband started playing SWG and I became interested with it by watching his screen. Aside from a few exceptions, I was never really interested in PC games before.
What is your highest level Character in Star Wars Galaxies? My highest-level character is Combat level 90.
What race and profession is your main character? Hmm, I do not really have a main character because I like playing all of them. I have four Combat characters (elder Jedi, medic, spy and bounty hunter), an entertainer and all four traders. Each of them have their own attributes and abilities that I enjoy playing. Farla is my very first character but if I had to commit myself to a certain “main character”, I could not do it. Except for my munitions trader who is a male Sullustan, they are all female humans with grey skin and yellow eyes.
What do you like the most about the profession you have chosen for your main character? This is a tough question since I don’t really have a main character. I enjoy many facets of the game including crafting, role-play and PVE/PVP.
What faction is your main character? All nine of my characters are Rebel.
What is your favorite player owned ship? My favorite ship is my heavy X-Wing.
What is your favorite ground vehicle? The BARC Speeder is my favourite ground vehicle.
How did you choose your main character’s name? Farla’s name is a generated name from the Neverwinter Nights game. I invented the names of my other seven female characters, only the last name remains the same – Swift. My girls are known as “The Swift Clan”.
Which professions in Star Wars Galaxies have you NOT played? I have not played commando, officer, or smuggler.
What is your favorite expansion? My favorite expansion is Rage of the Wookiees.
What is your favorite planet? Dathomir! I like everything there!
What is your favorite NPC? My favourite NPC is the Singing Mountain Clan Arc Witch, located on Dathomir.
Which expansion do you like the least? My least favourite is Jump to Lightspeed, because I am a very bad pilot.
Which planet do you like the least? Hmm, I think Talus is my least favourite.
Which NPC do you like the least? I do not like the Dark Jedi Master NPCs who are challenging my Entertainer in my own City.
What is the most credits you have ever spent on purchasing a single item for one of your characters? The most credits I ever spent on a single item was 25 Million Credits for a Nightsister Energy Lance. It’s just stylish and I love that weapon.
Do you have an item you no longer use but keep around for nostalgic reasons? If so what is it and why do you keep it? I have many items I keep around for nostalgic reasons. Hubert (my Rancor deed made by my husband), a double bladed lightsaber speed attachment on my gloves (it does not work but a friend gave it to me), and eight Singing Mountain Clan Force Crystals – one for each of my characters. The crystals have a special meaning to me and all of my characters keep one in their inventory because they are a symbol of friendship. I have a huge amount of similar items–too many to name them all–which I keep to honor the friends that gave them to me.
What do you like best about Star Wars Galaxies? I like SWG because of the ways it allows me to express my creativity in a virtual world. Maybe there are only a few thousand items in this game but the potential is unlimited.
What do you get out of playing Star Wars Galaxies? I have met numerous people and many became my friends. Some of these friendships have gone beyond in-game experiences and have started to enrich my real life.
Describe your best experience playing Star Wars Galaxies? There were many unforgettable moments in this game and each of them has become a precious memory. The beginning of the Restuss Event was very memorable. After crafting 4000 E11 carbines, we got the penultimate camp update and I had just brought the components for rocket launcher. I crafted exactly five launchers and then the last update went live. It was a great feeling to see that crafters can achieve something and that their work was worth it. These moments never would have been possible without all my friends and other players.
Do you run or work for a Star Wars Galaxies Fan Site? No, I do not.
