Where in the real life world do you live? Santa Cruz, CA

How long have you played Star Wars Galaxies? I started playing not long after launch, so over three years.

What other MMOs have you played? I have played Asheron’s Call, Anarchy Online, Asheron’s Call 2, City of Heroes, Matrix Online, and World of WarCraft.

What type of work do you do? I work in the education field.

How long is your typical gaming session when playing Star Wars Galaxies? Typically, when I play, I usually play for a few hours every few days.

What does a typical Star Wars Galaxies day consist of for you? My typical day starts with opening my friends list, then reading my in-game mail. Next, I proceed to say hi to all my friends and guild mates. While playing I like to visit the “Followers of Lord Nyax” to get loot. Thieving from those level 90+ elite NPCs is extremely addictive. Sometimes I head to Restuss to see if I can get into some PvP action; Spy is fun for both PvE and PvP. I also role-play with my role-play friends once a week.

What was the race and profession of your very first character? My very first character was a Human Teras Kasi Artist.

What got you into gaming and what sort of games do you like the most? I love science fiction games, but I am not sure what got me into gaming. I have been gaming since I owned my first computer.

What other hobbies or activities do you take part in, other then playing Star Wars Galaxies? I love candlelit dinners, movies, and long walks on the beach… not really. I write quite a bit and love to show off my work on our role-play community site: www.shadowfire-tcb.com. Recently, I have also started dabbling in customizing action figures and some computer graphics. I often forget to eat when I am working on my action figures or my computer graphics.

What is your highest level Character in Star Wars Galaxies? My highest-level character is combat level 90.

What race and profession is your main character? My main character Scintt is a Human, like her parents; and she works as a supply clerk of the Imperial Army–that is her cover! (Okay, she is a Human spy.)

What do you like the most about the profession you have chosen for your main character? Spy is fun, as I mentioned earlier. It is fun to PvP as a spy and with other spies. In PvE, I love stealing loots.

What faction is your main character? She works for the Empire; in fact, all my characters work for Palpy.

What is your favorite player owned ship? My favorite ship is the “Black JuJu”, my heavy TIE fighter. I made it all the way to ace in that ship.

What is your favorite ground vehicle? My favorite ground vehicle is my swoopbike. They are cheap, expendable, and good bait in PvP. I carry crates of them in my inventory so I would not cry if they were blown up by other spies.

How did you choose your main character’s name? My character’s name was derived from scintillation–I like sparkling things.

Which professions in Star Wars Galaxies have you NOT played? I have not played commando, officer or smuggler.

What is your favorite expansion? Jump to Lightspeed is my favorite expansion.

What is your favorite planet? My favorite planet is Naboo.

What is your favorite NPC? My favorite NPCs are the goons of Lord Nyax on Corellia. I heard that they love to steal young kids. It is my responsibility to protect the young ones, so I enjoy hunting the Lord Nyax cult members.

Which expansion do you like the least? I like the Rage of the Wookiees expansion the least, mainly because of the Etty Hunting Ground. That place is extremely hard to navigate with too many invisible walls.

Which planet do you like the least? It is hard to decide between Kashyyyk and Mustafar. I do not like the Wookieeland because you cannot use any vehicles in the instances; Kashyyyk is a beautiful planet though. On the other hand, Mustafar is just plain… plain. It is lava and rocks, and it is red, red, and more red everywhere.

Which NPC do you like the least? My least favorite NPCs would be any rebel NPCs. They are annoying when I want to chat with my friends outside the Theed starport. Moreover, why would my character, being an Imperial agent, be hassled by rebel NPCs? They often ask her for her ID chit and search her for contrabands. C’mon! We, the Empire, rule the Galaxy!

What is the most credits you have ever spent on purchasing a single item for one of your characters? I don’t know… I am a cheapskate. Well, I’m too lazy to decorate, so house items don’t interest me and if I want or need anything, I could usually get it myself or my guild SWOOP would help me. I guess, maybe the 10 million I spent to obtain the glowies I needed for my disruptor rifle.

Do you have an item you no longer use but keep around for nostalgic reasons? If so what is it and why do you keep it? Oh, I have a lot of those, but a couple examples would be: a Krayt dragon pearl given to me by a friend during Pre-CU (it was rare and hard to obtain back then) and some bracelets that a friend made for me with my character’s name on them.

What do you like best about Star Wars Galaxies? What I like best about SWG is the character customization and the Star Wars atmosphere.

What do you get out of playing Star Wars Galaxies? Ever since I started to role-play in this game and writing role-playing stories, I have grown quite attached to the world that I created for my character. This game gave me inspiration and gave me an outlet for my creativity. In addition, I enjoy the company of my online friends I have made in game and this is the only game that keeps me coming back. Other games normally only hold my attention for about 3 months at most. I think the reason is the community; there are many nice people in my guild and on my server. Finally, yet most importantly, the game gets my mind off work when I am not at work.

Describe your best experience playing Star Wars Galaxies? Do you really want me to write an essay here? I will try to keep it short. The first thing that came to mind is my days spent outside the Theed starport, learning to PvP from my in-game bud Away. In addition, some of my best experiences usually sprouted from the activities I did with my guild SWOOP. Like the time we made our various SWOOP movies was fun, then, guild chat was always entertaining. Gosh, I love my guild.

Do you run or work for a Star Wars Galaxies Fan Site? No, I do not.
