Player-vs.-Player Content Updated
December 5th, 2006 by Alice
he new patch, “Before the Storm,” implements many changes to the game, particularly to player-vs.-player combat and the Honor System as a whole. With the new Honor System, players will be able to earn honor points for spending on various rewards, from armor and equipment to potions and ammo. Because of this, ranking by honor points no longer occurs, and we have removed the PvP rankings page. You can read more about the “Before the Storm” Honor System changes here.
In addition to the new Honor System, we have introduced the new Arena System in “Before the Storm.” The new content update gives players a taste of this gladiatorial combat in non-rated matches, but The Burning Crusade will also include a new PvP ladder based on the Arena System. At level 70, players will be able to create and participate in rated matches, which allow them to earn special titles, equipment, and more. This new ranking system will be displayed on the website once teams begin challenging each other in rated arena games and start gaining arena points. Will you be the greatest gladiator in Azeroth? Play The Burning Crusade this January to find out!
