Priest Guide

Priests are the “healer types” in EverQuest II, but their roles are not restricted to just healing. There is a “support” type role too, with some nuking capabilities, as well as the occasional bash with blunt weapons. Priest knowledge is based on wisdom, as well as concentration. The old EQ1 role of “heal and med” are quite different while playing a priest in EQII. Many Priests might find that a quick med after every few monsters suffices just fine, and mana regenerates quickly enough, sitting during battle is something that isn’t very necessary.

Key Priest Quests

Dreak’s Cellar Cleanup

Not only does this give a new character of any trade some experience in crafting, for a priest, you also get to obtain a piece of jewelry to enhance your skill in wisdom. “Dreaks Finely Crafted Bracelet” is attuneable and adds +1 to wisdom, +5 to health. You can find Assistant Dreak on the first floor in the mage tower in the center of the Isle of Refuge.

Removing the Orc Menace

Not only does it allow players of any archetype to experience their first “raid” type encounter, it also allows a priest character to obtain a suitable sceptre to use during their citizenship quest. The Acolyte Sceptre does 2-7 one handed blunt damage, and adds +2 to strength and +2 to agility. Nathania Sparklebright will send you and your group members on a journey to slay the main Orc boss in Grimgash’s Lair.

Nathania Sparklebright – All Given Quests

Nathania Sparklebright, on the Isle of Refuge, gives many quests in a series that allows the priest to obtain a decent set of armor. The armor is a good start to completing the citizenship quest and the quests in their village as well, until they are able to advance past there and earn means to gain more powerful gear. She can be found at the edge of the pond by the banker in the center of the Isle.

  • Acolyte Tunic - AC9 +2 Wis
  • Acolyte Gloves - AC2
  • Acolyte Leggings - AC5 +2 Wis
  • Acolyte Boots - AC2

Citizenship Quests

Any character would need to do citizenship quests to gain access to the city of their alignment, but a priest would benefit with the Citizenship jewelry, specifically for the + 5 Health, +1 Stamina and +5 Mana. As well as the Citizenship Mace - +2 health, +1 mana.

•  Later, the Priest would want to do the Priest training quest, and the class specific quest, dependent on what class the player chooses.

Classes

At level nine, a player must select a class that their Priest will peruse from that point on. Upon completion of the Class Specific Quest and the advancement to level 10, a player will have successfully transferred from the Priest Archetype to their chosen Class. The three Class choices are:

- Cleric
- Druid
- Shaman
