Introduction

Ali Morrisane is looking to expand his business and increase his stock to include a selection of runes, new clothes and blackjacks. You have to help him by traveling to three different people around RuneScape and persuading them to let Ali buy some of their stock, to sell from his location.

The three parts of this mini-game below can be done in any order.

Part 1 - Aubury and His Runes

This part of the game takes place from Ali’s stall in the Al Kharid desert, to Aubury’s Magic shop in Varrock.

After speaking to Ali Morrisane, travel to the Magic Shop in Aubury, south of the East bank in Varrock. Speak to him about Ali’s business proposition. He should agree to send a supply of runes to Ali. Travel back down to Ali and he will have received the supplies.

There are two caskets: one small and one large. In order to first buy runes from Ali Morrisane, you must open at least one of the caskets, if you open the basic chest you can buy the basic runes, if you open the advanced chest you can buy the advanced runes. There are three options to open each casket, you can either pick the lock, examine the lock to solve the sudoku puzzle or force the lock. The small casket is simple enough to pick, or you may want to try and solve the 4 x 4 sudoku puzzle to practice.

The large casket is much trickier. You cannot open it by simply picking the lock, you have to solve the 9 x 9 sudoku puzzle.

Rules Of Sudoku

On any board of sudoku you have a number of different objects, for example on the small puzzle you have four different runes. These different objects have to fit onto the board so that there is only one of each type of rune in one line. This only includes horizontal and vertical lines, if two of the same rune are next to each other diagonally you can still solve the puzzle.

Additionally, you have to make sure that only one of each type of rune is in a coloured square (yellow or orange).

Both of the puzzles have unremovable runes so this adds to the difficulty.

To place a rune on the board click on the runes on the side, then select the square on the board where you would like to position it. Fortunately, if you find you have made a mistake along the way, you can remove a single rune by selecting the remove button (the red circle with the red cross through it) and clicking on the runes that you wish to remove.

Part 2 - Siamun and His Clothes

This part of the game takes place from Ali’s stall in the Al Kharid desert and to Siamun’s Clothes Shop in Sophanem.

From Ali Morrisane, travel south to Sophanem and speak to Siamun. Tell him about Ali’s proposition. He will ask you to bring him either three dyes or three animal pelts (which is either wool, fur or hide).

Part 3 - The Blackjack Seller, Pollniveneach

This part of the game takes place from Ali’s stall in the Al Kharid desert and to the Blackjack seller in Pollinivneach.

After speaking to Ali Morrisane, travel south-east to Pollniveneach and speak to the Blackjack seller. Tell him of Ali’s proposition.

Attack Blackjacks

If you want to convince the blackjack seller to go into business with Ali, you have to challenge him to try and knock you out using one of his blackjacks. If you are still standing after the second club to the head, then the seller will agree to make these blackjacks.

Defence Blackjacks

If you choose not to accept the sellers challenge but instead choose the cunning plan option, a street urchin will call to you. Talk to the street urchin and he will offer to steal from the blackjack seller. In order to convince him to accept Ali’s offer for a price, pay him 100gp. Once he has stolen it, the blackseller will agree to supply the blackjacks.

From Part 1

Once the board is filled and you think you have solved the puzzle, click on the open casket button. If you are correct, a message will appear and you will have the option of buying all of the runes in that casket for a price set for you, or you could look at the runes available and buy them at regular shop price.

Once you have opened both of the caskets once, you do not need to do the puzzles again, however, if you want the option to buy all the rune stock for a set price from the large casket, then you will have to complete the puzzle again.

Buying the large amount of runes for the set price when you unlock the large casket is a good idea. The amount of runes that you receive for this price will be cheaper than buying the same amount of runes elsewhere. However, you have to remember that you do not know what runes you will get in this bulk amount so some players may wish to view the prices of the runes available first, then buy them.

The small casket only contains the four elemental runes: fire, water, wind and earth. The large casket will contain the other nine runes. The combination runes are not available in these caskets.

From Part 2

Desert Robes

Desert Clothes

To get a new selection of desert robes for Ali’s stall, bring three animal pelts to Siamun. He will agree to supply Ali. Go back to Ali and you will now be able to buy from a stock of desert robes.

Menaphite Clothes

To get a new selection of Menaphite clothes for Ali’s stall, bring three pots of dye to Siamun. He will agree to supply Ali. Go back to Ali and you will now be able to buy from a stock of Menaphite clothes.

To switch between the different clothes stocks for Ali, go to Siamun again and give him his required items depending on what stock you require.

From Part 3

After the securing the deal with the blackjack seller, go back to Ali and he will have a stock of blackjacks ready and available to you to buy. Depending on which task you opted to do will depend on which blackjacks are available to you.

To switch between the different stocks of blackjacks for Ali, go to the blackjack seller again and either take up his knock-out task, or pay the urchin to steal his stock depending on which stock you require.
