Star Wars Celebration Community Summit

June 5th, 2007 by keven

In the midst of five days of Star Wars movie screenings, collectible shopping, costume shows, and tattoo competitions at Celebration IV, Star Wars Galaxies developers and players came together to meet, greet, and share war stories at the Star Wars Galaxies Community Summit.

More than 150 passionate SWG players joined Lorin “DeadMeat” Jameson, Thomas “Blixtev” Blair, Jesse “Loche” Benjamin, Mike “Fiasco” Farone and Tony “Teesquared” Tyson from Sony Online Entertainment, and Jake “jneri” Neri and Tim “Neif” Temmerman from LucasArts to talk about what’s been happening in the game and what new features are coming down the road.

For more than two hours, players brought up issues, questions, and praise for everything ranging from character armor to the Force Sensitive Village.

No holds were barred in the topics covered as the SWG devs did their best to answer questions and address concerns. The team at the Summit plans to take all the players’ comments back to the rest of the development team for consideration as they continue to add features and content to the game in 2007.

The entire SWG team extends a big thanks to everyone who attended the Community Summit at Star Wars Celebration IV, and we look forward to seeing you at the next one!
