Al Howin was the greatest Pumpkwin farmer of the continent. Unfortunately, he was also a Bwork Magus apprentice a bit too fascinated by arcana. In order to win the contest of the biggest Pumpkwin cultivated with Lousy Pig slurry, Al Howin cheated asking the Bwork Magus for help. The latter tried a new incantation on the Pumpkwins. Those who ate some of these magic Pumpkwins ended up transformed into strange misshapen creatures for several days … and this keeps on happening every year at the same period. This curse can even be transmitted to adventurers who come too near to cursed creatures. To ward off ill fortune, inhabitants of Amakna and its surroundings wear a Pumpkwin on their head for several days, hoping they’ll be spared. The most surprising thing is that it seems to be working!

Travellers have been bringing these cursed creatures in villages for a few days now… But the curse does not seem to work on adventurers just yet … but believe me, this is only a matter of days!!
The King Allister, himself, already started to give out Pumpkwin masks to ward off ill fortune. He’s even planning to give a mask to every single adventurers within the next days!
