Darksky, the son of the now deceased UnHwa Guild Master, embarks on a journey toward the Eastern Mountains to seek the legendary ‘Sacred Lands’. It was believed that Cursed Sword and the Holy Blade were kept in the Sacred Lands. These were two of the Eight Great Treasures of the Land and it was said that whoever got their hands on either of these would be able to freely roam the lands unchallenged. With this knowledge in mind, Darksky infiltrates the Sacred Lands and awaits his chance.

Mah of the Sword was the most powerful man in all the Sacred Lands. He sought to use the harmony of the great weapons to balance the powers of Yin and yang in order to achieve ultimate supremacy. Then one day he was attacked. The immense chi and power that had been circulating his body lost its balance and exploded, critically injuring him. Darksky didn’t miss his chance, and was quick to steal the Holy Blade and escape.

The Holy Blade was called the Red Dragon Blade. Darksky, as a great martial artist, was able to wield the great weapon and understand its secrets. However, he finds that his inner chi was not great enough to realize the weapon’s full potential. He travels to the Northern Seas to seek the Ice Crystal Essence, an ingredient to bring into balance the fire of the Holy Blade and allow him to control it. While he is there, he meets the Lord of the Northern Ice Palace and fights him in a sparring match. Impressed with each other’s skills, they forged a friendship and left.
