Fan Faire 2007 is just three short days away! Soon gamers from all over will descend upon Las Vegas to join SOE employees in days of massive online gaming fun. No matter which SOE game you play, there will be something for everyone who attends. Preregistration has closed, but walk-up registrants will be able to share in all the fun and events planned. There are a ton of activities planned for players of Star Wars Galaxies - let’s take a last look at the master schedule!

Thomas “Blixtev” Blair, Lorin “DeadMeat” Jameson, Dave “Vapor” Jones, Jesse “Loche” Benjamin, Mark “SWG-Tunso” Halash, Travis “Shadowbrak” Hicks, Joe “GreyPawn” Pishgar, Jason “Pex” Ryan, Head GM Sharon “Moonlite” Morris, others are scheduled to be in Las Vegas for Fan Faire! This is just a partial list of folks slated to attend, and you are very likely to meet more members of the team, as well as a host of folks from the other SOE teams and departments.

Fan Faire Schedule

Thursday, August 2nd

Thursday is arrivals day, and from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM the Early Bird Registration and Badge Pick-Up tables will be open. This will ensure that everyone can grab their badge, or register and grab one right after they check in.

Starting at 7:00 PM there will be a welcome reception at the Voodoo Lounge on the 51st floor of the Rio. SOE dev team members and more will be present to welcome everyone as they arrive at the Lounge and everyone will be able to chill out and chat casually about the games we love to play.

Friday, August 3rd

Friday is the first full day of action at Fan Faire and there will be plenty of activities for everyone to participate in. Registration and Badge Pick-Up will open at 10:00 AM and run until 8:00 PM ensuring that everyone who arrives on Thursday can check in, grab their badge, and jump right in on the action.

Also opening at 10:00 AM and running until 8:00 PM are the Game Room, Bazaar, Phat Lewt Store, and Legends Lounge. By visiting each of these locations you can visit a great number of vendors, jump in game and say “Hello from Fan Faire!” to your online buddies, and hang out with SOE employees and your friends while you enjoy refreshments in the Legends Lounge.

The Silent Auction will begin at 12:00 PM. Participants will be able to bid on their favorite banners, and other SOE items. Winners of the silent auction will be announced on Saturday afternoon.

The Star Wars Galaxies Live Quest will also take place on Friday. Groups of 10 can participate in quests crafted by Events Manager Jason “Pex” Ryan.

In addition, the first SWG panels will take place on Friday, and include:

• 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM - The ENT Session
• 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM - Bringing Star Wars to Life
• 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM - What’s Your Story?
• 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM - We’ve Got Plenty of Space…

To close out the day, at 8:00 PM the Fan Faire Pool Party will kick off. There will be live entertainment, and a host of other festivities planned as people hang out poolside at the Rio!

Saturday, August 4th

Registration, Badge Pick-Up, the Game Room, Bazaar, Phat Lewt Store, and the Legends Lounge will all be open on Saturday from 10:00 AM through 8:00 PM. This will ensure that if you have not had a chance to stop by each area on Friday, you can check them out in your free time on Saturday and share in all the action.

• 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM - Testing 1, 2, 3
• 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM - The SWG Gathering
• 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM - Let’s Not Fight About Combat

The Grand Banquet will begin at 8:00 PM and will provide a full buffet dinner for attendees. After the banquet the SOE Fan Faire Costume Contest will begin at 9:30 PM. Be sure to grab a good seat for the contest as the most creative folks show off the fruits of all their hard work.

At 10:00 PM the Fan Faire Dance Party will kick off to close out the activities. Bring some comfortable shoes, and be ready to have a good time with all your Fan Faire friends and the SOE staff!

As you can see, the SOE Fan Faire 2007 looks to be a fun filled event with plenty to do for everyone who plays any SOE game; and a great number of opportunities for Star Wars Galaxies players to meet with the team and talk about the game.
