Your Houseplant and You *Carnivorous Plant Guide

June 27th, 2007 by rosehebe

Now as many people know if you bought the retail copy of EQII: Kingdom of Sky expansion you got a house item called a carnivorus plant.  This plant is very very different from your other items in that if you feed it particular items in a certain method it will give you items in return.  I gave my plant a meaty bone, enchanted water and compost with the plant giving me in return a nice item that gives 128 out of combat health regneration.  Bellow is a list of the items that can be given to your plant currently. *thx to didi for the list*

10 pouch of peat
10 flask of rancid water
10 small decaying bone
20 small bag of amomonia sulphate
20 flask of stale water
20 large decaying bone
30 small bag of muriate of potash
30 flask of pond water
30 small polished bone
40 small bag of diatomaceous earth
40 flask of fresh water
40 large polished bone
50 small bag of ammonium nitrate
50 flask of pure water
50 small meaty bone
60 small bag of guano
60 flask of aerated water
60 meaty bone
70 small bag of compost
70 flask of enchanted water
70 large meaty bone

Now when I get enough materials I will start doing some experimentations to see what combinations yield what results.  We may have to play gardiner and give it certain items in certain steps to achieve specific results.  However the results could be random but some experimenting will find that out.

*Update*

I’m starting to get a sense of how the plant actually works.  I will need to obtain 3 items however and test the combinations however.  I am beginning to suspect you have to do a water, food, fertilizer combination to achieve a result with the results varying by level and the item being at random.  However this is just a guess so far not a conclusive result till I test it further.
Ammonium Sulphate+Large decaying bone=Rotten Fruit

Small Bag of compost=Rotten Fruit

Large Meaty Bone+Flask of Water=Rotten Fruit

Flask of Enchanted Water=Rotten Fruit

*Update*

After some testing it does appear that it takes the usual 3 comination of fertilizer, bones and water to produce 1 item.  That item will vary by the lvl and the amount of each you give.  Just did a test today with a small bag of compost, large meaty bone and a flask of enchanted water which produce fresh fruit which had 35 min duration and had 10 out of combat health regeneration that is lvl 10 use.
